Rugged on the outside, yet comfortable and cozy inside, the Northwood Arctic Fox Edge has always been an excellent four-season travel trailer. These rigs always include a host of thoughtful features and are well equipped for camping on and off-grid. But now, with the introduction of the new 25RB floor plan, the RV manufacturer has taken things to the next level, and quite possibly delivered the perfect couples’ campers in the process.

As with all Northwood towables, the Arctic Fox Edge 25RB rides on a custom-built Iron Horse chassis made specifically for the RV. Not only does this give the rig outstanding durability, it adds better stability and control while being towed. A set of off-road tires make transitioning from tarmac to dirt a seamless affair, while a MORryde suspension—paired with KYB shocks—further enhance the rig’s off-road capabilities.

The exterior of the AFox Edge further enhances its reputation for being a rugged, go-anywhere camper. Northwood uses a fully-welded, thick-walled aluminum frame, which gives the travel trailer rigidity and strength, while keeping its weight relatively low. High-density block foam insulation, reflective roof foil, and heated holding tanks only add to the rig’s four-season cred.

Inside, the AFox Edge 25RB includes a host of features designed to surprise and delight. That starts in the living room/galley kitchen area, where you’ll find theater seating neatly situated in the rig’s only slide, giving the interior a roomy, more open feel. Nearby, a mini-dinette makes a great place to enjoy meals, play games, or work remotely. The kitchen itself comes equipped with a three-burner stove, oven, residential microwave/air fryer, a dual-basin sink with high-rise faucet, and an energy-efficient 12V refrigerator.

If this default configuration doesn’t meet your needs, Northwood offers an optional setup that swaps the theater seating in the slide with a larger dinette that converts to a bed. In this layout, the mini-dinette is replaced with a jackknife sofa, granting owners a little more versatility and space when it comes to entertaining guests.

The 25RB floor plan includes a rear bathroom that is spacious and well appointed. It includes a porcelain toilet with foot-pedal flush, solid surface counter tops, a stainless steel sink, and a large skylight. But the headline feature here is the shower, which is equipped with a retractable screen and a surprisingly large tub. A linen closet provides a handy place to store towels, sheets, and other items.

The primary bedroom is found at the front of the rig and includes a queen-size mattress, dual wardrobes, and both USB and 110V charging outlets on both sides of the bed. A half-wall separates the sleeping area from the living room, while allowing the interior to still seem open and spacious. Northwood’s signature arched cathedral ceilings further enhance the experience, giving the AFox Edge 25RB a residential feel that is hard to match in most other travel trailers.

Other noteworthy features include a 13.5k BTU air conditioner, a 25k BTU auto-ignition furnace, and a ten-gallon gas/electric quick-recovery water heater. The travel trailer comes with an 800W solar package, a 400Ah lithium battery, and Northwood’s Fox Forward multiplexing system for controlling and monitoring lights, power, climate, and more. Optional upgrades include a 3.6kW Onan LP generator, a Winegard satellite dish, a second 400Ah lithium battery, and an RV BBQ.

The Northwood Arctic Fox Edge 25RB’s combination of features, design, and durability all make it a fantastic option for couples. This floor plan offers residential-style amenities and plenty of great details that make the travel trailer the perfect home on wheels. And perhaps best of all, Northwood manages to deliver all of these features, along with its industry-leading build quality, at a great price. The 25RB starts at $94,905, making it one of the most well-equipped and approachable four-season travel trailers on the market today.
