- Mammoth Overland Launches New XLE Off-Road Travel Trailer: Mammoth Overland, a company known for its rugged, off-road towables, is up to its old tricks again. The company has taken the wraps off the latest addition to its portfolio, which comes in the form of the new Mammoth Overland XLE—which stands for Xtinction-Level Escape. This rough-and-ready travel trailer includes such features as a fully pressurized cabin, dual medical-grade HEPA filters, bulletproof windows, and a 37-millimeter flare launcher. On the more practical side, it also has a 400W solar panel, a 1,200Ah lithium battery, dual propane tanks, and a portable generator. Starting price? A cool $123,994. - Overland Expo West is This Weekend!: We’ve mentioned it in passing the past few weeks, but just a quick reminder that Overland Expo West takes place this weekend in Flagstaff, AZ. More than a few readers probably already have plans to attend and have purchased advanced tickets for the event, but if you happen to be in the area this weekend and are looking for something to do, OEX is definitely worth your time. You’ll find hundreds of vendors, dozens of seminars, food, music, demos, and more. You’ll find a full rundown of what to expect at the Overland Expo website.

- The Winnebago Arka Adventure Truck Debuts at OEX West: While we’re on the subject of Overland Expo, if you will be at the event, keep an eye out for the all-new Winnebago Arka adventure truck. This exciting new rig, which we discussed in detail last week, will make its public debut at the show. It looks like a promising new entry into the overlanding vehicle space, and it comes from one of the biggest names in the RV industry. Check it out here.

- Grand Design Introduces 3-Season Wall in Momentum Toy Haulers: This week, the mad geniuses over at Grand Design added yet another innovative new option to its already impressive line of RVs. This time, the company introduced what it calls the “3-Season Wall” to its Momentum toy hauler rigs. This new upgrade allows owners to continue using their rear patio in a broader range of weather and temperature conditions, with improved insulation, pull-down privacy shades, and enhanced security with keyed locks on both the 3-Season Wall and the integrated sliding glass doors. - Road & Track shares the Best Car Camping Gear for 2026: As much as we love our RVs, car camping is still one of the easiest and most affordable ways for many people to camp. Fortunately, there is a growing ecosystem of options to help facilitate this style of camping, with options like inflatable mattresses for SUVs and hatchbacks, portable grills, rooftop tents, and more. This week, Road & Track shared its picks for the best car camping gear for 2026, with some interesting items making the cut. - The Dyrt Announces 2026 Glampy Awards: Almost every week we have a fun and interesting update to share from The Dyrt, the online campsite discovery platform. This week, that update is the announcement of the 2026 Glampy Award winners, which, as the name implies, go to the best glampgrounds across North America. This year’s winners include The Oasis at Bear Run Farm in West Virginia, Osa Trail in New York, and Loving Hearts Retreat in Texas. - AAA Says 45 Million Americans Will Travel for Memorial Day: We’re now just a little over a week away from the start of the Memorial Day weekend here in the US, and data indicates that many of you will be on the move. According to AAA, at least 45 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home over the long weekend, of which 39.1 million will travel by car, while 3.66 million will fly. A further 2.2 million will travel using “other means,” which includes a cruise, bus, or train. Read the full press release sharing the data here.

- Survey Shows RVing Continues to Draw Travelers: With the summer travel season about to officially get underway, new data shows that more and more people are turning to RVing as an affordable and flexible option. This week, the RV Industry Association (RVIA) shared the results of a recent survey that indicates RV travel is resonating with younger travelers and pet owners, who want to bring their furry friends along for the ride. The results also show that more than 3 million people are planning to rent an RV this summer, with a number of events—including America 250, the World Cup, and the 100th anniversary of Route 66—spurring interest. - Girl Camper Hits Milestone Membership Numbers: Girl Camper—the women’s only community for RVers—announced that it has reached 2,100 paying members in roughly six months’ time. The organization launched its membership program last October, and it has grown steadily ever since. This underscores the importance of such communities that offer a safe, informative, inclusive, and fun environment for women who love to camp. RV Pro has more here.
