- Mammoth Overland Officially Reveals Hardsided SKL Rooftop Tent: We first told you about the Mammoth Overland SKL rooftop tent a few weeks back, but now it is officially official. This week, the company fully revealed its latest camper, which taps into the brand’s aerospace roots by using all-aluminum construction in a monocoque design. The result is a rooftop “tent” that is closer to an enclosed cabin, offering an R5 insulation rating that makes it ideal for four-season camping. The SKL also comes with an onboard battery bank to power LED lights and an electric fan, as well as recharging small electronics. The rig is solar-ready, too, ensuring you don’t get caught off-grid without any power. Starting price? $11,500. Mammoth is taking reservations now for delivering in the first quarter of 2026. - Outdoor Recreation Roundtable Reminds Us That America’s Public Lands are a Invaluable Asset: Those of us who love to travel and spend time outdoors already know that America’s public lands are amazing places to visit. But this week, the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable reminded us that they are an invaluable asset to the economy, too. A new study conducted by Southwick Associates says that protecting and preserving those lands is not only good for the environment, but good for business, too. ORR says outdoor recreation is responsible for $1.2 trillion in economic output and provides over 5 million US jobs each year. On a daily basis, that comes to $351 million added to the economy, with one in five of those jobs directly dependent on public lands. Find out more about this important topic here.

- Go RVing Says Experiential Events are More Effective at Selling RVs: RV industry champion Go RVing has posted its latest monthly Trends Report, and it has some interesting news for RV manufacturers. According to the new report, 9 out of 10 consumers are more likely to buy a brand after taking part in an experiential marketing campaign. These types of campaigns revolve around giving consumers a memorable experience rather than just passively playing a commercial or inserting an ad into a newspaper or magazine. Examples include going to an air show, a football game, a music festival, and so on. The idea is to encourage brands to adopt this more inclusive and interactive approach to marketing, as it appears to be far more effective with potential buyers. Find out more here.
