2002 Ford Explorer

Ford expects to have its new 2002 Explorer sport-utility vehicles in dealer showrooms by
March. At first, only the four-door models will be redesigned; Sport Tracs and two-doors
will follow later. The new trucks offer features like anti-brake systems standard. Options
include a 4.6-liter V-8 engine rated 240 hp, and seating for nine. With an optional heavy
-duty towing package, the tow rating is 7,300 pounds.
