Touring an RV manufacturing facility is always fun and fascinating. It gives fans a chance to go behind the scenes to see exactly how these amazing feats of engineering are made. But not everyone is fortunate enough to get the opportunity to visit one of these facilities for themselves, which is why today’s video is so interesting. It takes us to Middlebury, Indiana, where we go inside the Jayco motorhome plant, giving viewers a chance to see how those rigs are built and why the company offers the best warranty in the industry.
As you’ll see in the clip, Jayco’s outstanding quality isn’t just due to the materials and components it uses when building its RVs. The company has built a culture around delivering the best motorhomes and towables possible, with all of its employees buying into that vision. The result is a sense of pride around the work they’re doing and an almost obsessive approach to listening to—and responding to—customer feedback, needs, and suggestions.

As noted in the video, the Jayco motorhomes campus in Middlebury is comprised of four production lines spread out across three independent facilities with more than 600 employees. After the coaches are completed, they are sent to a dedicated inspection center, where the vehicles are reviewed and tested, with inspectors looking for any flaws that may have slipped through the production process. Those that don’t pass inspection are sent back to be corrected, while those that do complete the rigorous process are passed on to dealers and customers.
You’ll catch a glimpse of all of this, and a whole lot more, in the YouTube video above. It takes us inside the Jayco motorhomes manufacturing plant, where its line of Class A, B, and C coaches are assembled. And while those vehicles are obviously a big part of the story, it is the commitment to excellence that is the through line across the entire clip. Plus, it is just plain fun to see how the proverbial sausage gets made.
