Jayco’s 2021 Eagle HT FW 24RE
Built for State and National Parks
Jayco has a new HT fifth-wheel in its lineup for 2021, the Jayco HT FW 24RE. This new towable option is the shortest half-ton fifth-wheel from the manufacturer, and it is designed for use at state and national parks.
The FW 24RE offers a low unloaded weight of 7,980 pounds, bypassing the need for a heavy-duty pickup in many cases. The exterior length of just over 29 feet is what sets this apart from other fifth-wheels in Jayco’s lineup, and the under 100-inch width means you get plenty of space and makes it a little easier to drop into a camping spot.
The floorplan for this fifth-wheel features a single slide with numerous options for buyers, including theater seating instead of a tri-fold hide-a-bed; a dinette instead of a table and chairs, or the substitution of a bench seat instead of two chairs with the table and chairs; and a king bed instead of the standard queen. In the kitchen, you can opt for a 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator. An excellent feature of note is the entertainment center that swings open to expose the hidden—and very large—walk-in pantry.
An Upscale and Modern Interior
The true charm of the 24RE comes from the quality of the materials, electronics, and appliances used inside the unit. You’ll find seamless countertops, hardwood slide fascia, handcrafted doors and drawers, a stainless steel sink, high rise residential brushed nickel faucet, wood-plank vinyl flooring, residential carpeting, and LED interior lighting throughout.
Jayco offers a choice of interior decor options between American Craftsman and Modern Farmhouse. Both offer natural wood tones and homestyle fabric patterns.
Confident Jayco Construction
To keep the 24RE strong, Jayco uses its StrongholdVBL aluminum frame that’s vacuum bond laminated in order to keep weight down. It also comes with gel-coated fiberglass exterior walls, including the rear wall and slider room end walls.
Additionally, Jayco utilizes the Magnum Truss Roof System—the strongest tested roof in the industry—with a one-piece, seamless DiFlex II material. You’ll also find double-layer fiberglass batt insulation in the ceiling and the floor and double-sided radiant barrier insulation in the ceiling, floor, and behind the cap.
Helping make the 24RE easy to tow is the MORryde CRE-3000 rubberized suspension system, Dexter Axles with Nev-R-Adjust brakes, EZ Lube hubs, and a Turning Point rotational pin box.
It’s not all about the hardware on the 24RE, the unit also gets the JAYCOMMAND Smart RV System that connects your RV to your smartphone, so you can control and monitor your tank levels and some of the most important features and amenities of your RV from anywhere.
With the addition of the Jayco HT 24RE to its fifth-wheel lineup, you’ll have the ability to gear up for a smarter camping experience in 2021. Check it out at Jayco today.
