The Entegra Coach Embark is the Future of RVing

To say that the new Entegra Coach Embark is unlike any other RV would be a massive understatement. That’s because this Class A model has the distinction of being the world’s first electric range-extended motorhome. Built in conjunction with Harbinger Motors, the rig uses an all-electric chassis paired with an integrated range extender (REX) to give the vehicle a driving range of up to 450 miles. And while the Embark is an impressive feat of engineering, it is also a thoroughly modern coach filled with all of the luxurious features and amenities you’ve come to expect from Entegra Coach.

The chassis on which the Embark rides is a technological wonder. It features a 175kWh battery pack that gives it an all-electric range of up to 105 miles. That’s enough distance for many travelers to reach their favorite local campground without having to gas up at all. And once there, they can recharge using the 50A power pole found at the campsite, ensuring they’re fully powered up for the return trip. And if you’re planning on camping off-grid, the Embark’s battery system has 20 times more capacity than the lithium house batteries found in other RVs.

But for RVers who like to venture further afield, the Embark’s integrated range-extender grants them more freedom to wander. The REX is a gas-powered generator that feeds electricity back into the drivetrain, allowing the motorhome to efficiently travel longer distances. And on those extended journeys, drivers can simply pull into a gas station when they need to fill up or recharge the batteries at a DC Fast Charging station. Harbinger has even engineered the electric chassis to be easy to maintain and repair, with the goal of completing most repairs in 24 hours or less.

While the electric chassis may have been engineered by Harbinger, the rest of the motorhome is pure Entegra Coach. Sleek European styling is found inside and out, giving the RV an elegant, distinctive, and eye-catching look. Highlights of the exterior include expansive windows and dual skylights that allow plenty of natural light to reach the interior. A rear pass-through storage compartment provides ample storage for hauling all of your essential supplies and gear, too.

Inside, the Embark is equally impressive, with a floor plan that is spacious and open. A versatile space at the front serves as a dining area, lounge, and workspace, complete with sofa, dinette, and swiveling captain’s chairs in the cockpit. The well-equipped kitchen and bathroom are found midship, with an array of appliances and furnishings, along with a spa-inspired shower that rivals those found in most homes. The bedroom is found at the rear and features a massive elevated king-size bed that is plush, comfortable, and inviting. Entegra Coach has even incorporated noise-dampening acoustical panels for a quieter interior on the road and at the campsite.
