Shasta travel trailers have been a mainstay on American highways and at campgrounds for more than eight decades, introducing generations of travelers to the RV lifestyle. Over that time, the brand has built a reputation for creating fun and affordable campers that take owners on an array of adventures. And for 2026, the iconic towables get a significant upgrade in the form of the BRAWN Wall System, enhancing durability and strength for even more years of amazing travel experiences.
Developed by UFP Factory Built, the BRAWN Wall System was created to help RV OEMs build travel trailers that are stronger and more resilient. Traditional construction methods often use staples, glue, and jigs to build the wooden frame that makes up the RV’s sidewalls. But the BRAWN system replaces those parts with high-quality nail plates and jigs that are placed in a precise, standardized fashion that not only augments the build quality but improves construction time.
Built entirely in the USA, the BRAWN Wall System provides a more consistent, accurate fit that helps ensure an RV’s walls and corners are plumb and square. It also uses fewer seams and shims, reducing the number of potential points of failure. This improves consistency at every stage of the construction process, resulting in a better all-around travel trailer rolling off the assembly line. The system has the added benefit of bolstering rigidity in the walls, greatly reducing flex as the RV rolls down the road. All of this results in a camper that is more durable and dependable across a longer lifespan.

By introducing the BRAWN Wall System in its Shasta line of travel trailers, Coachmen RV and Forest River is once again demonstrating its commitment to its customers. These campers generally fall into the introductory RV category, as they often serve as the first model that new RVers purchase. But thanks to this innovative new approach to construction, owners can expect more longevity out of their rigs compared to the traditional entry-level models of the past.
The video above serves as a good introduction to the BRAWN Wall System and how Shasta RV is integrating it into its travel trailers. For now, the construction process is exclusive to the RV brand, but Forest River promises it will appear in other models later in the year. This exciting new approach to building campers is a revolution for the industry, merging improved build quality while maintaining affordability, to ultimately deliver a better product for customers.
