Last year, Starcraft’s GSL Light Duty fifth-wheel wowed us with its long list of amenities and fantastic build quality. The compact towable offered everything RVers could ask for in a lightweight model, including the option to tow behind a half-ton pickup. But for 2024, the company is taking things to the next level, adding even more standard features while maintaining a very affordable price point.

Exterior upgrades to the GSL Light Duty include new contemporary-styled wheels, wireless Bluetooth speakers, and a Winegard 5G/TV antenna. A 200W solar panel connected to a 30A controller now comes standard, with the option to add a second 200W panel and a 1,800W inverter for additional power.

The 2024 edition of the fifth-wheel trailer gets some notable upgrades on the inside, too. The GSL Light Duty is now equipped with a 10-cubic-foot 12V residential-style refrigerator that offers extra storage capacity for food and beverages. This RV also has high-sheen, solid-wood cabinets and slide-out fascias, along with higher-quality accent wood on the tables, dressers, and nightstands. New hickory flooring adds additional elegance to the cabin, as does the upscale, stain and moisture-resistant fabrics found on the couch.

These new standard features join an array of existing amenities, including a LevelLoc™ four-point automatic leveling system, self-adjusting electric brakes, and an Equa-Flex® axle suspension. Inside, the trailer is equipped with a queen-size bed, a large shower, and a well-appointed kitchen complete with a three-burner stove, an oven, and a microwave.

The 100’ wide towable also features the ACCU-SLIDE™ slide-out system with 42” deep four-corner compression. This gives the interior a more open, airy feel while maintaining a tight seal that keeps the elements at bay. The fifth-wheel’s TuffShell™ vacuum-bonded laminated manufacturing ensures high-quality construction, as does the PVC roof membrane that comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

The GSL Light Duty ranges in size from 27’ 3” to 33’ 2’ and weighs between 7,145 and 8,680 lbs., making it one of the smallest and lightest fifth-wheels on the road. It is available in four unique floorplans and comfortably sleeps four to eight people, depending on the model. Prices start at just $59,655.
