- Gulf Stream Coach Updates Vintage Cruiser to Appeal to Female Travelers: For its 10th anniversary, the adorable retro-inspired Vintage Cruiser travel trailer from Gulf Stream Coach is getting a special edition model. The company has collaborated with designer Laura Ashley to create a new model that’s meant to appeal to solo female RVers. The new model goes on sale on December 1 and includes Ashley’s signature plaid design on the outside, while the interior textiles include hints of Wisteria floral print in Newport Blue and Hyland Check print in Seaspray. - SylvanSport Raising Funds for Hurricane Relief: North Carolina-based SylvanSport has announced efforts to raise funds to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene. The company—which makes a fun and impressive line of towables‚—has announced that proceeds of every purchase from SylvanSport this month will go directly to the aid and assistance of those impacted by that terrible storm and the flooding that took place in its aftermath. - ATC Trailer Debuts Two New Models: Another company hitting a major milestone this year is ATC Trailers, which has now been in business for 25 years. To celebrate, the company debuted two new models at the Elkhart Open House event, where it introduced the Plā 550 toy hauler and the Plā 750 fifth-wheel. - Arizona Creates Office of Outdoor Recreation: This week, Arizona joined other Western states, like Colorado, Utah, and Oregon, has officially launched its own Office of Outdoor Recreation. As you would expect, the new department is tasked with managing and expanding the state’s opportunities for providing residents and visitors to take part in outdoor recreational activities, a segment that already contributes $11.7 billion to the Arizona economy and supports 106,571 job. As of the time of publication, 24 states now have a similar government agency.
- RV Trader Names Washington, DC ‘RV City USA’: Which US city is the best for RV travelers? If you believe the folks over at RV Trader, it’s Washington, DC. According to the online RV rental site, America’s capital city is a welcoming, accommodating, and fascinating place that celebrates the country and its history. - Overland Expo Pulls in 14,500+ Attendees: It looks like it was another successful outing for the Overland Expo team. Last weekend, the 2024 edition of Overland Expo East took place in Arrington, VA, drawing in more than 14,500 attendees—including hundreds of campers—for the three-day event. While the grounds were a little soggy from recent rainstorms, there was plenty to see an do, with dozens of vendors, RV manufacturers, and camping-related brands on hand. The event even offered numerous seminars and training sessions for veteran and newbie overlanders alike. Dates for the 2025 show are coming soon.
- Cruiser RV Unveils Two New Models: Other RV manufacturers introduced new models at the Elkhart Open House event a few weeks back, including Cruiser RV. The company showed off its all-new MPG 2400PD and Shadow Cruiser 240RPD at the show, impressing those who were in attendance. Both models come with rear patio decks equipped with an outdoor kitchen and an entertainment center complete with 70″ TV. - Ultra-Fab Extends Landing Gear Warranty to Six Years: RV jack and leveling systems manufacturer Ultra-Fab announced this week that it is extending its warranty on its landing gear products. The company told RV Pro that it found virtually no issues with its equipment, which allowed it to confidently extend the warranty to six years. According to the report, there will be no change in packaging or labeling, but the new warranty length will begin immediately, with dealers receiving updated information.
