- Battle Born Launches Line of Solar Panels: Dragonfly Energy is launching a new line of solar panels under its Battle Born brand. The company is well known for producing excellent lithium batteries for the RV market, and adding solar panels to the mix seems like a natural fit. The panels will reportedly come in 120W, 200W, 230W, and 375W varieties, of which the 200W version will be a foldable/portable design. All of the options include anti-shade technology and offer excellent output for their size. The new solar panels will go on sale in January. RV News has the full scoop.

- Storyteller Overland nVades the Overlanding Accessories Space: It’s no secret that overlanding continues to grow in popularity, and Storyteller Overland—which is already a major player in that market—is hoping for an even bigger piece of the pie. This week, the Alabama-based company launched a new line of overlanding-focused accessories under the “nVader” brand umbrella. The new product line includes a rear rack for Sprinter vans, a brush guard, storage box, and more. The nVader products will be sold under Storyteller’s Flarespace sub-brand, with several products available now and more coming in 2026.

- Canadian Snowbirds Avoiding US Destinations: There have been reports of a downturn in tourism across the US in recent months, most notably from our Canadian neighbors to the north. This week, that was further confirmed in a report from KOA, which shows that 60% of Canadians who are planning to spend a month or more in a warm-weather location this winter are opting for international locations that aren’t the US. This could impact some campgrounds, which have relied on the influx of visitors during the winter months. Read the full report for further insights and trends.

- The All-Electric F-150 Lightning is Dead: This week, Ford announced that it will cease production of the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning in 2026 and replace it with a model that includes a range-extending gas motor. The truck was initially launched back in 2022 to much fanfare, but hasn’t achieved the level of success that the Blue Oval had hoped for. The new model will offer some significant advantages over its predecessor, most notably taking the range from 320 miles up to 700. Find out more here.

- Renogy Offers a Glimpse of the Future of RV Battery Technology: Renogy, a company that specializes in on-the-go energy solutions, is giving us an inside peek at the latest in battery technologies. The company has shared a detailed rundown of how sodium-ion and solid-state batteries compare to one another. These next-generation energy storage options offer differing approaches. For instance, sodium-ion power cells are less expensive and are easier on the environment, while solid-state batteries provide much more energy density in the same size as current-gen models. That means they can be potentially lighter and offer much more capacity without taking up more room. To read the entire rundown, check out this article at RV Business.
That’s all for this week. We’ll resume our weekly RV news wrap-ups after the holidays, so see you again in 2026.
