As we reach the midway point of November, the holidays are now in sight, and 2026 is not as far off as we’d like to believe. Typically, this is the time of year when the RV industry begins to wind things down a bit, saving the announcements of new vehicles and floor plans for the big Florida RV Super Show in Tampa in January. But there are still a few things to talk about this week, so let’s dive into the latest news:

- The Daihatsu Kayoibako-K Camper is the Cutest RV You’ll See This Week: The Japan Mobility Show just took place in Tokyo, with a large number of concept vehicles on display. One such rig is the Daihatsu Kayoibako-K Camper, a mini Class B model that includes off-road tires, an awning, rooftop tent, and more. Typically, this micro van is used as a cargo hauler, but the concept model shows that it could be used in other ways. Sadly, it is very unlikely that it will make its way across the Pacific to North America, but it does look fun. New Atlas has more.

- AC Future Shows Off New Electric Motorhome: There has been a lot of buzz around electric RVs in recent weeks, with Entegra and Coachmen both showing off new models. Now, we can add another name to the list in the form of AC Future. This week, the company showed off a prototype of its upcoming rig at the RV Dealers Association Expo in Denver, CO, where it garnered plenty of attention. The coach reportedly has a range of about 300 miles, is 26 feet in length, and includes two slides that help to open the interior, giving it more usable space. We first saw a virtual reality concept of this RV at CES 2024, but at that point it was still in very early development. Now, it looks like it is much closer to becoming a reality and the company is also working on an electric towable, too. RV Business has all the details here.

- Pebble Now Taking Orders for Pebble Flow Magic Pack Trim: Speaking of electric RVs, this week Pebble—the designer of the excellent Pebble Flow e-travel trailer—announced that it is opening up orders to a broader audience. The company now allows customers to purchase its Magic Pack trim, along with the Founders Edition that has been available for several months now. The Magic Pack includes features like the company’s Magic Hitch for auto hitching and unhitching from a tow vehicle, remote control functionality for maneuvering and parking the rig, and an expanded 45kWh lithium battery pack. - US Government Shutdown Ends, National Parks Re-Open: Perhaps the biggest news of the week comes courtesy of the US government, where Republicans and Democrats finally came to an agreement to reopen the government. We won’t wade into the politics of that situation, but will note that the end of the shutdown means that America’s national parks will soon be back up and running again. If you’re planning a visit in the near future, you may still find a few services and facilities that aren’t fully functioning just yet, but over the next few weeks normal operations should resume. Watch the National Park Service website for updates on current conditions at all of the parks.

- Scamp Trailers Partners with Renogy for Off-Grid Camping: Renogy has been on a roll lately, inking partnership deals with a variety of manufacturers looking to use their solar and lithium battery systems to power off-grid camping adventures. Now, we can add Scamp Trailers to the list. The RV manufacturer makes a line of towables designed for overlanding and off-road exploration, including its excellent Scamp-X model. Now, buyers will be able to utilize Renogy’s industry-leading technology to extend their excursions further away from cities and established campsites. RV Pro has the scoop here.

- Harbinger Motors Raises $160 Million in Series C Funding: This week, Harbinger Motors announced that it had closed its Series C funding round after raising $160 million from investors. Chief among them was Thor Industries, which helped co-develop Harbinger’s electric vehicle platform to be used in upcoming RVs. Other investors included FedEx—presumably for electric delivery vehicles—and the Capricorn Technology Impact Fund. RV Business has more here.

- GearJunkie Names Best of SEMA Show: The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) held its big annual show a few weeks back, with automakers, aftermarket gear manufacturers, RV companies, and others on hand to showcase their latest wares. The event is one of the biggest conventions to hit Las Vegas each year, with far too much to see in just a few days. Thankfully, the team at GearJunkie was on hand to check everything out and has now shared their list of the best things they saw there. Highlights include a hybrid concept UTV from Toyota, a new rear-door storage system for camper vans, and a rooftop tent from Thule. Check it all out here.

- Field & Stream Launches Television Network: In a day and age when it seems like everyone has their own streaming service, the venerable brand of Field & Stream is jumping into the mix. This week, the media outlet announced that it is teaming with Outdoor America to launch a new TV network that will stream online and be carried by traditional broadcast outlets. F&S has been around as a print magazine of various forms since 1871, but recently has found success with podcasts, blogs, social media, and other modern content styles. Now, it will jump into TV with an upcoming slate of programming to be revealed at the 2026 SHOT Show in January. GearJunkie has more.
That’s a wrap for this week’s edition of our rundown of the latest news from the RV industry. See you next Friday for another recap.
