Owners of the Pebble Flow electric travel trailer received a surprising—but welcome—upgrade today in the form of a new AI assistant. Dubbed “Scout”, the assistant is available on the company’s website and in an all-new Pebble iPhone app that is available to download now. Scout and the app work in conjunction with one another to answer owner questions, assist with troubleshooting issues, and help them get the most out of their RV. Scout is also a great example of how the Pebble platform continues to evolve and upgrade over time.

The video above shows Scout in action, as an owner uses the new assistant to learn more about how specific Pebble Flow features work and solve a few minor challenges. Interacting with the AI through the app involves opening a designated chat window and typing out a question. The assistant responds with easy-to-understand answers, explanations, and step-by-step guides. It also actively monitors the travel trailer and relays vital information, including sending an email alert when the onboard power cells fall below 10% and require a recharge. Over time, more proactive monitoring and features will be added, including the ability to share real-time notifications for a range of important functionality.

Most Pebble Flow owners use an iPad and a tablet-specific app to control its high-tech features. But Pebble received feedback from its fans indicating that an iPhone app would further enhance the ownership experience. That new app now lets users connect directly to the travel trailer via local Bluetooth, even when traveling and camping off-grid. The iPhone version of the app complements the RV’s built-in command center, putting a host of functionality right at an owner’s fingertips. It’s also a glimpse of things to come, with vehicle health monitoring, alerts and notifications, and remote controls all in the works. Pebble will even add cloud connectivity in a future update, making it easy to stay in touch with the towable from virtually anywhere in the world.

“Our team is constantly working to make the Pebble Flow better by integrating new features that further improve the Pebble Flow experience,” said Pebble CTO Stefan Solyom via a press release. “With every update, the Flow is more capable, more intuitive, and more enjoyable to use,” he adds.

The Scout AI assistant and new iPhone app are both available now. To learn more about Scout, visit the Pebble website and download the app from the App Store.
