The latest edition to the Northwood Manufacturing line-up is the AFox Edge, a rugged travel trailer built for off-road exploration and off-grid camping. Like the other RVs in the brand’s catalog, this model delivers excellent value and an impressive list of standard features, making it a fantastic option for anyone searching for a versatile and fun towable.

The AFox Edge is available in two floorplans, both of which comfortably sleep four and have their own unique interior layout. The original 27SX is the slightly longer and heavier of the two, measuring 31’2” in length and with a GVWR of 13,000 lbs. The new 26KX model is close to its sibling in size, running 29”9’ from end-to-end and with a GVWR of 12,800 lbs.

Inside, the two models offer a similar floorplan. In both cases, the primary sleeping area is located in the front of the trailer and includes a large, comfy bed, plenty of storage space, and a private entrance. Next comes the spacious bathroom, complete with porcelain toilet, a glass-enclosed shower, solid-surface countertops, and a sink. The two floorplans do diverge somewhat in the rear, where the living space and kitchen are located. Whereas the 27SX has its dinette, fridge, and pantry in a slide-out, the 26KX fills that space with plush theater seating and a refrigerator.

Speaking of the kitchen, the AFox Edge comes standard with a large range and three-burner cooktop, a 10-cubic-foot 12V stainless steel refrigerator, and a residential-style microwave oven with built-in air fryer. Expansive windows and a skylight provide plenty of natural light, and solid-surface countertops are durable and great-looking. The multi-functional dinette seats four and is perfect for meals, socializing, and remote work.

Other features of note include the SolX 10 solar package with 1,000W of power, dual 10-gallon LP tanks, a 90-gallon freshwater tank, and energy-efficient LED lighting inside and out. The AFox Edge is equipped with a MORryde CRE-3000 suspension system and rides on 16” Goodyear Wrangler Dura-Trac tires for exceptional traction on and off-road. Northwood’s custom state-of-the-art FoxForward multi-plex system also makes it easy to monitor important onboard systems, like lights, power, HVAC, holding tanks, and more. Optional add-ons include a 400Ah lithium battery with 3,000W inverter, an internet gateway router, Winegard satellite dish, and an RV BBQ.

High-density block insulation and heating holding tanks make this a true four-season camper.
