Battle tested in the outback of Australia, the XT9 is custom-built for off-grid and off-road travel. It features MDC’s in-house designed and built chassis system, which is paired with the advanced X-Track independent trailing arm suspension. This gives the trailer unprecedented control over rough terrain, while maintaining a high degree of durability. How durable, you ask? The towable comes with a lifetime warranty on both the chassis and the A-frame .
Designed as a go-anywhere basecamp for all of your adventures, the XT9 Off-Grid Extreme Edition comes standard with a 400Ah lithium battery, 525W of solar, and a 3000W pure sine-wave inverter. The power management system automatically switches between shore power and solar as needed, and even uses cloud-based and Bluetooth wireless monitoring systems to give owners full control of the rig no matter where they wander. All of this makes boondocking and overlanding a simple affair, enabling longer adventures in the wild.

Once at camp, a 270º awning extends the living space outdoors, providing protection from the sun, rain, and other elements. The trailer features a surprisingly well-appointed and modern interior with a pop-up roof that adds space and additional ventilation. A plush bed, a versatile lounge/dining area, and plenty of onboard storage add both comfort and utility. An exterior kitchen—complete with a three-burner stove and ample prep space—allows owners to whip up gourmet meals at the campsite, while an optional cold weather package gives them the option to continue their adventures all year long.
Originally founded in Australia more than two decades ago, MDC quickly established itself as one of the leaders in the bourgeoning overlanding space. As off-grid and off-road travel continued to grow in popularity, the brand continued to build out its catalog, adding a variety of options for solo travelers, couples, and families, while remaining focused on delivering products that stay true to its roots. In 2021, MDC expanded stateside, where it found an eager audience for its outstanding towables. Since then, it has continued to expand its presence, with US headquarters in Cypress, California and dealers in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and several other states.

Those include Off-Grid Extreme versions of the XT12HR, XT15-4E, XT16HR East West, XT17HRT, and XT19HRT models.
