Garmin New RV 1090 GPS System Is Here to Guide You
RV-Specific Navigation and a 10-Inch Display
Recently, Garmin Internaitonal Inc. a unit of Garmin Ltd. announced its new RV-specific GPS navigator series, the RV 1090.
What sets this new GPS system apart from the competition is the fact that it features navigation specifically designed for RVers. All of that navigation information is presented through a 10-inch high-resolution, edge-to-edge touchscreen display.
The large screen of the GPS provides more information along their route more clearly than past models. The 10-inch screen can support either portrait or landscape viewing.
“The extra-large display of the RV 1090 makes it easy for travelers to see the navigation details that matter most on their journey,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales. “Whether you’re headed through your favorite national park with family or embarking on a cross-country adventure, drivers will now have a sharp, responsive display tailored for RV vacations.”
The RV 1090 comes with all of the core RV-related navigation features that are on past Garmin RV GPS systems, including some new features. The list includes custom RV routes, road warnings, a sightseeing directory, preloaded travel content from various well-known sources and points of interest, Bluetooth hands-free calling, Garmin voice assistant, and built-in Wi-Fi.
You can also use the trip planning feature to pair the RV 1090 with the Garmin Drive app to import and share GPX files before and during a trip. This trip planning feature will also show users fuel prices, traffic and weather, and the option to view smartphone notifications and photoLive traffic cameras.
If you have a BC35 wireless backup camera or a third-party compatible backup camera, you can even pair the RV 1090 to this backup camera, making the RV 1090 an even more important part of your RV.
Garmin has a suggested retail price of $699.99 on the RV 1090. It is currently available on Garmin’s website.
