For an up-close view of impressive aircraft like a Japanese Zero, F6F Hellcat, P-51 Mustang, B-25 Mitchell Bomber and a C-130 Hercules cargo plane affectionally called Fat Albert, head to the Aviation Roundup on October 13 to 14 at the Minden-Tahoe Airport in Nevada. This family-friendly event features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels in flight, air-show performers that include the Red Bull Team with an aerobatic helicopter and the Wingsuit team jumping from the helicopter to glide overhead, plus other pilots taking to the skies to demonstrate twists and turns and drops. On the ground, spectators can take flight in the MaxFlight full-motion simulator that goes upside down, rolls and climbs vertical. Vendors, food and wares from local shops will be on display.
