Keeping the Tradition Alive

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

Tipping a hat to Somerset, Pennsylvania — where for more than 40 years Coleman Camping Trailers were manufactured — Columbia Northwest has created a new line of pop-up camping trailers, duly named the Somerset line, built in the Coleman tradition. After FTCA closed its doors almost a year ago, halting the production of the Coleman line, Columbia Northwest took action to keep the products and heritage alive by hiring former employees of the plant and working closely with key dealers around the country to create and sell a brand-new line of pop-ups with the same quality construction and simple setup. Six new models, ranging in size from 8 feet to 14 feet, are being manufactured as part of the Somerset line. Base MSRP ranges from $9,000 to $17,000, depending on model.
