Chinook Summit 2700

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

Thick cherrywood cabinets, heated tile floors in the galley and bath, leather seating, roof
air with heat pump, slideouts, Thermo-pane windows, Corian countertops, central vacuum
system, solar panel charger, custom-painted exterior — these are the types of amenities
and decor you’d rightfully expect in high-end Class A motorhomes. It’s in those same luxury coaches that you’d also expect to find state-of-the-art, one-touch, computerized leveling systems, bodies made from the latest composite materials and automotive-style air bladder seals around the slides. What we’re really describing, however, is the Chinook Summit 2700 — a Class C coach. This motorhome creates a whole new perspective on what a manufacturer can do to transform a 27-foot cutaway chassis platform into a very elegant home on the road. In automotive parlance, the Chinook Summit 2700 is the Range Rover of Class C’s. And, whether taking off for an extended road trip or just a weekend getaway, the 27-foot Summit lacks nothing when it comes to storage space (relative to its compact size, of course). For full test impressions and details on the Summit 27′, pick up the December 2004 issue of MotorHome magazine on the newsstand — then subscribe to MotorHome so you can stay informed on the latest motorhome tests and previews, products and technical information, and travel info.
