Ford Incentives Return

Ford is reinstating zero-percent financing for its big SUVs.
Buyers of 2005 Expedition and Explorer, Lincoln Aviator and Mercury
Mountaineers, and F-150 pickups could qualify for these loans for up to
six years.

Ford Excursion Production Ends

Ford has announced that the last Excursion SUV has been built.
Since its introduction in 2000, Ford sold more than 20,000 Excursions
each year. A stretched version of the next Expedition is expected to be
introduced as a replacement.

Feds Probing Spring and Turn-Signal Problems

The National Highway Transportation Safety Agency (NHTSA) is
investigating reports of rear coil spring failures that reportedly can
cut the rear tires of some models of the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable.
In a separate action, NHTSA said it opened a preliminary investigation
into potential turn-signal malfunctions in three General Motors lines:
2002 Chevrolet Malibu, Oldsmobile Alero and Pontiac Grand Am.
