As you would expect, the latest additions to the Cummins generator lineup is fully certified to meet the emissions standards of all 50 US states. Each unit also includes a returnless, closed-loop electronic fuel injection system that seamlessly adapts to changes in altitude, temperature, and other operating conditions. The EFI also allows RVers to switch between either gas or LP fuel sources at the flip of a switch, giving them more flexibility to camp wherever they choose.
The entire QG i DF family of generators is equipped with a sine-wave inverter, ensuring that even the most delicate of electronic devices receive clean electricity and are protected from power surges. Each of the new models also uses a variable-speed engine, permanent magnetic alternator technology, vibration-isolating mounts, and a specially tuned muffler system to keep sound to a minimum. The Onan QG 7000i DF is the largest of the three new generators and is designed for use in fifth-wheel trailers and Class A coaches. The Onan QG 4000i DF offers similar performance, but is designed for easy installation and reliable performance in a Class C motorhome. The Onan QG 2800i DF is the smallest of the trio, making it a compact and powerful option for Class B camper vans.
