  • Grand Design Launches New Lineage Series E Class C Coach: One of the biggest stories of the week is the announcement of yet another motorhome from Grand Design. Once known for its outstanding travel trailers and fifth wheels, the brand has now made its mark in the motorized space over the past two years. The latest addition to the lineup is the new Lineage Series E Class C model, which rides on a Ford E-450 chassis, comes with a Fox suspension, and reportedly has class-leading exterior storage. • Airstream Adds New Floor Plan to Affordable World Traveler Line: Earlier this year, Airstream announced the World Traveler line as an affordable new option for RVers looking to join the Airstream family. This week, the brand expanded its lineup by adding the new 17RB floor plan to the catalog. Smaller and lighter than the original 22RB travel trailer, this model is light enough to be towed by crossovers, SUVs, and light pickup trucks. It also carries a wallet-friendly—at least by Airstream standards—price point of $64,400. Read our full coverage here.

  • InTech Shows Off 2027 Sol Dawn Model: This is the season for revealing new RVs, and lightweight travel trailer manufacturer inTech is getting in on the action. A few days back, the brand revealed the 2027 edition of its popular Sol Dawn model, which includes the company’s trademark fiberglass body and welded cage frame construction. But the latest edition of the towable also comes with a slew of enviable features, including a new outdoor kitchen, a new pass-through cargo door that serves as a gear garage, and a new FlexOffice space for those who have to work while on the road. Check out the latest edition here.

  • LIV Trailers Debuts Plastic Electric Travel Trailer: LIV Trailers made waves this week with the debut of a new all-electric model. The company has made a name for itself for eschewing wood and fiberglass in its construction process in favor of using plastics instead. This makes their rigs lightweight and resistant to decay, but the new E-Leaf OffRoad model also comes with 200W of solar, a 300Ah lithium battery, and a 3,000W inverter, giving it off-grid credentials for boondockers. A 20A DC-to-DC charging alternator refuels the power cells while traveling, too, making this the first gas-free model from the brand. Perhaps best of all, the rig starts under $25,000. • Alaskan Campers Puts HS 640 Truck Camper into Production: After revealing the new HS 640 truck camper in design computer-generated renders a few months back, Alaskan Campers has now put the highly anticipated model into production. The final design now includes a propane-free approach with two floor plans and up to 792Ah of lithium house batteries. The company also took consumer feedback into consideration, adding a diesel heater, tankless water heater, and more. RV Business has more details here.

  • Volkswagen is Bringing a Camper Van Stateside: For the first time in nearly three decades, Volkswagen is preparing to bring a camper van to the US. The iconic automaker is reportedly preparing to add a new package for its electric ID.Buzz vehicle that can turn it into an RV of sorts. The Tourer package offers a stowable folding mattress, two rear bench seats, a full-size bed frame, window shades, an outdoor dinette set with a table and chairs, and more. The new package will be available on the 2027 edition of the ID.Buzz, which has paused sales for 2026 to prep for the new options coming in the new model year. Gear Patrol has further info here.
