We all know that Northwood makes some of the most durable RVs on the market, delivering four-season performance in a sturdy, reliable package built to take on the elements. Each of the brand’s models rides on a custom Ironhorse chassis and comes with standard features like heated holding tanks, fully-welded aluminum frames, residential-grade insulation, and laminated walls. But did you also know that the RV manufacturer puts just as much thought and effort into designing its interiors, with a focus on comfort and functionality? Nowhere is this more evident than with the Northwood Arctic Fox NXT 295RL, a fifth-wheel trailer that offers incredible value.

On the outside, the 295RL includes all of the features we’ve come to expect from Northwood, including a massive passthrough storage compartment, a fully walkable roof, an 18’ powered awning, and holding tanks large enough to stay off-grid for days. The rig comes standard with 400W of solar—with the option to expand up to 1000W—and has a MORryde AllTrek 4000 suspension that smooths out the ride and extends the life of the RV. All of which rides on the aforementioned Ironhorse chassis, which is built in-house to exacting specifications for each individual floor plan, providing more stability and durability on and off-road.
Inside, the Arctic Fox NXT 295RL offers plenty of nice surprises, starting with a pair of plush rocking and swiveling recliners located just inside the door at the rear of the trailer. Nearby, a tri-fold couch offers additional seating and converts to a guest bed when overnight guests are along for the ride. A freestanding table with four chairs sits opposite the open kitchen, which includes a dual-basin sink with high-rise faucet, a three-burner gas stove, microwave oven, and a 10-cubic-foot refrigerator/freezer. Two pantries, large solid surface countertops, anodized aluminum backsplashes, and Northwood’s signature cathedral arched ceilings are just a few of the many standout features.

Midship, you’ll find a passthrough bathroom that includes a spacious shower with trifold glass doors, a built-in seat, an adjustable height shower head, and a skylight. It sits opposite the porcelain toilet, mirrored and illuminated medicine cabinet, a stainless steel under-mount sink, and hardwood cabinets. Just beyond, you’ll find the primary bedroom that includes a king-size bed with a quilted memory foam mattress alongside a cedar-lined wardrobe with sliding mirrored doors and ample storage shelves. Nearby, a bench window seat provides a place to sit next to the hardwood dressers and an entertainment center with room for an optional 32” TV. Under-bed storage includes a locking safe, while bedside shelves offer room for personal devices and a CPAP machine, with 110V outlets and USB charging ports to keep everything running.
Other notable features include energy-efficient LED lighting inside and out, a built-in omni-directional TV antenna, outdoor speakers, and slow-rise privacy shades with magnetic catches. The integrated Northwood Command Center gives owners control of a variety of features, including lighting, climate, power, and more. A 35k BTU furnace and a 13.5k BTU air conditioner keep the interior cozy and comfortable no matter the conditions outside. Some of the many optional upgrades include a second 13.5k BTU A/C unit, an Onan Gold LP generator, a washer/dryer combo, and FoxForward multiplexing system.
