Even though we’re only a few months into 2026, it has already been a banner year for new rigs from Airstream. Not only has the company released the affordable World Traveler to much acclaim, it has also introduced the Trade Wind 27FB, which offers more onboard power than any other model in the brand’s storied history. Now, the RV manufacturer has introduced the Airstream Caravel 20FB, a compact travel trailer that comes packed with features and a thoughtful new layout.

The 20FB expands the Caravel line to three floor plans, slotting itself between the existing 16RV and 22FB models. As its name implies, it measures 20′ in length, with enough room to comfortably sleep four. The single-axle trailer has a GVWR of 5,000 lbs., making it easily towable by a wide range of vehicles. And this being an Airstream, its exterior features the company’s iconic design, right down to the riveted aluminum outer shell.
But it is on the inside that this floor plan really struts its stuff. That starts with the queen-size front bed—hence the “FB” in the model’s name—which feels expansive, comfortable, and premium. A spacious dinette is located midship, serving as a versatile place to enjoy meals, socialize, or work on the road. When needed, the space converts to a second bed, providing room for kids or guests. The kitchen sits opposite the dinette, with an L-shaped counter, a double sink, stove, and an efficient 12V refrigerator. A convection microwave is an optional upgrade. The 20FB also comes with a significant upgrade over the 16RB floor plan in the form of a dry bath made possible thanks to a separate walk-in shower.

The Airstream Caravel 20FB has a starting price of $89,400, but delivers good value thanks to the RV manufacturer’s excellent build quality and overall attention to detail. To find out more about this exciting new floor plan, visit airstream.com.
