Hot on the heels of the announcement of its partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation a few months back, Airstream has returned with yet another enticing collaboration. This time, the iconic RV brand has joined forces with Stetson and the Four Sixes Ranch (6666) to co-create a towable unlike any other. The result is the Airstream Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer, which stands as an homage to the pioneering American spirit, quaint small towns, and the rugged ranchers that roam the West.

“This collaboration brings together three iconic American brands, merging their deep-rooted Western history with our spirit of outdoor adventure,” says Airstream president and CEO Bob Wheeler via a press release. “With classic ranch motifs, historic artwork, and tooled leather accents all housed in the iconic Airstream aluminum shell, our hope is to inspire adventurers to hitch up and hit the open road.”

Inspiration for the Airstream Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer came from all three of the collaborating brands. In addition to Airstream’s iconic “silver-bullet” exterior styling, the interior includes sumptuous materials, flooring, and fabrics inspired by Stetson’s 160 years in the hat-making and Western-wear industry. Similarly, the towable’s color palette draws from the landscapes that surround the Four Sixes Ranch, which has raised quarter horses and cattle in West Texas since 1870. With that in mind, the cabin unsurprisingly features earthy browns, oxblood reds, charcoal grays, and warm clay tones that give it an inviting and accommodating feel.

The trailer itself is well-suited for solo RVers, couples, or families of four. The rig measures 27-feet in length and includes the option of either a queen mattress or two twin beds in the primary sleep space, along with a dinette that converts into a second bed when needed. An optional rear hatch with a sliding screen door pairs nicely with wraparound windows to provide scenic views from the campsite, while 300W of solar and a 2.4kWh house battery enable off-grid camping.

The Western inspirations are found throughout the interior, too, with elements of both Stetson and the Four Sixes on display. For instance, the trailer comes with a ranch-style kitchen sink with a hammered copper apron front, which complements the black stained oak dinette table nicely. An overstuffed leather couch and a leather headboard in the bedroom are also standout features, as is the woven window coverings with leather tiebacks and the integrated hat rack. Vintage Stetson advertisements, custom pillows, and embossed logos are found throughout, adding further ambiance and charm. Outside, a custom red-striped power awning—with both the Stetson and 6666 logos—provides shade from the sun, while a red belt line accent adds a dash of color to the traditional Airstream silver aluminum frame.

“For more than 160 years, Stetson has stood for craftsmanship, independence, and the pioneering spirit that defines the American West,” Robert Dundon, Chief Executive Officer at Stetson, says. “Few names reflect that same spirit of freedom and adventure like Stetson, Four Sixes Ranch, and Airstream. This collaboration continues that legacy, connecting our craftsmanship with how people live, travel, and create their own stories today.”

Four Sixes Ranch Co-Owner Taylor Sheridan adds, “From our superior Angus cattle to our legendary quarter horses, the heart of the Four Sixes Ranch is rooted in more than 150 years of tradition and trailblazing. As we look to the future and expand the ways that Four Sixes leans into culture, entertainment, cuisine, and more, partnering with Airstream and Stetson represents the best of the past and the promise of the future.”

To that end, Airstream says that this travel trailer is just the first of its new Collaboration Series of RVs, which will bring new designs, custom-appointed interiors, and high-end appliances to future models. The company says it is working in partnership with a variety of brands from across the globe and will have more to share down the line.

“Our founder, Wally Byam, challenged us to only improve our designs and never change things for change’s sake,” Wheeler says. “The Stetson + 6666 Special Edition travel trailer represents Airstream challenging existing standards with innovative, fresh ideas. We couldn’t be more excited to continue to think outside our traditional mindset and introduce our brand to new audiences through each future collaboration.”
