TekModo LLC, Elkhart, Indiana, recently announced the introduction of
SpectraLite RV sidewalls, a surfacing technology enhanced with DuPont
Surlyn resin for added scratch resistance and impact strength. TekModo,
has worked in close collaboration over the past year with the DuPont
Company, Wilmington, Delaware, to address the needs of the RV market.
SpectraLite allows for the introduction of colorable surfaces
to the marketplace. No longer are RV consumers and manufacturers limited
to white. Color choices are now endless: red, bue, black, green,
metallic, non-metallic — all made possible through the pigmentation of
the Surlyn resin.
In addition to lighter weight and a wide array of color
choices, SpectraLite allows the 100-percent elimination of formaldehyde
and enhanced weatherability without yellowing.
