Gulf Stream Builds Super C Mini

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

No one could have guessed that a small manufactured-housing company,
which began in an old sauerkraut factory, would become one of the most
successful RV manufacturers in the country — but it did. From Fairmont
Homes in 1971 to Gulf Stream Coach for 2007, this RV giant features
“cradle of strength construction” in all of its products.

The Independence Super C mini-motorhome series models are built
on the Chevy Kodiak Chassis, featuring multi-leaf suspension, a
rust-prohibitive coating on the frame, four-wheel disc brakes and the
Vortec 8.1-liter V-8 gasoline engine (standard), and DuraMax 660 V-8
turbodiesel engine (optional).

On the outside, such items as radius tinted windows,
stainless-steel wheel inserts, and heated and remote exterior sideview
mirrors dress up the coaches.

Inside, the Independence Super C includes a choice of
floorplans, slideouts, amenities and decor. Model 6331, for example,
includes a bedroom slideout featuring a king-size bed, a well-appointed
galley, and a comfortable and spacious living area.
