Core Instant Tent One-Minute Setup Challenge and Review

Core Equipment’s easy-to-assemble Instant Tents provide plenty of sleeping and living space and set up in less than 60 seconds.

Core Equipment Instant Tents have the easiest setup process we have encountered on a tent so far.

When heading out into the great outdoors with your RV, you may find yourself in a location so beautiful that you just have to enjoy it from under the blanket of stars decorating the night sky. Or you may have a gaggle of kids or teenagers that need a place of their own outside the RV. That’s when having a tent comes in handy. If ease of use is a priority, there are few tents that are simpler to set up than the line of Core Equipment Instant Tents. These three-season tents set up so fast, you’ll be able to go from unloading to relaxation in just a couple of minutes.

We recently took two of the Core Equipment tents to our testing grounds at the legendary Corriganville Ranch in Santa Susana, California, to see what all the fuss was about.

One-Minute Tent Set Up

Right out of the box, we were blown away by the intuitive ease of use of these tents. We tested the 9 Person Lighted Instant Cabin Tent and the 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent with Awning (MSRP $299.99 and $179.99, respectively), and there is just no way to overemphasize how simple they are to pitch.

Core Equipment’s website and marketing materials demonstrate how the Instant Tent can be set up in one minute. After we put up the larger nine-person tent, we decided to see if we could accomplish setting up the six-person tent in 60 seconds or less. On our first try, we got it done in just 35 seconds!

Check out the video below:

Interior Lighting and Other Features

The nine-person tent is enormous, and we comfortably fit 10 people into this thing. One unique feature of the larger tent is that it comes with interior lighting. A half-dozen D batteries provide enough power to illuminate the entire tent.

Core Equipment Instant Tents are well made and have great flooring and liners, rain and wind protection, and the easiest setup process we have encountered on a tent so far. Although they are not all-season tents, they are ideal for spring, summer and early fall adventures, particularly when you want to accommodate more people at your RV site.
