Lance is changing the way they attract talent to join their RV operations in Lancaster California, 1.5 hours northeast of L.A.

To help attract, train, and retain the best possible talent for the varied positions, Victor Rivas, Human Resources Manager, has become creative in recruitment efforts. In addition to traditional recruiting tools like the local press, radio ads, and social media, Rivas organizes drive-up job fairs with same-day offers, has posted bulletin boards on major freeways and on local streets, and has even hung large banners on Lance buildings that have visibility from key streets.

Once onboarded, Rivas’ team partners with Danny Huerta, EHS Manager, to welcome, orient, and train new team members. V.P./G.M., Matt Buckman has also helped the team launch a progressive bonus program, tying in key components to success including attendance, production, and quality.

In another forward-thinking strategy, Lance has retained BrioTix Health to assist with on-site industrial sports medicine services. Employees are trained in proper stretching techniques, ergonomic assessments, discomfort and injury evaluation, and wellness education.

“The entire team is excited about the potential benefit of having the BrioTix program in place and professional trainer on-site three days a week, it is a very progressive program that no other company in the Antelope Valley offers, giving us a unique differentiator in the very competitive staffing environment we are currently facing,” says Rivas.

Lance also owns Avery Transport, which Rivas assists in recruiting over-the-road driving talent. Recently the team has completed an all-new recruiting video shot all in-house, highlighting the benefits of working for Avery, which can be viewed here.
