A safety recall campaign has been initiated by Mercedes-Benz on certain 2002 M-class
sport-utility vehicles. The affected models include:
ML320 VIN no. A2900001 to A293761
ML500 VIN no. A290064 to A293743
ML55AMG VIN no. A291343 to A293528
Some vehicles have a left front upper control arm that is not heat treated properly. Any
control arm with the casting number ending in 309 must be replaced, and the front end
re-aligned. The work will be done for free. Owners should contact their dealers for more
information.
