The unit is sleeker and more user-friendly than other flat panel designs with open-cell foam filters. The Genesis optimizes interior space and overhead clearance with a slender profile. Fastener hardware has been significantly reduced for better aesthetics. It has built-in LED indicators that show when its time to clean the filter and the operation of optional solar panels.

The improved filtration system provides cleaner air by removing microscopic dust and allergens. The filter is easily slid out from the side of the unit and requires no tools or disassembly of the return are grille. The proprietary filter fibers used help prevent the growth and spread of bacteria trapped in the filter. The filters can be washed and reused for a year before the manufacturer recommends replacement, available at most RV dealerships and stores.

The box also has a quick cool air dump feature that diverts the ducted air straight down providing a concentrated shower of cool air.
